Juice To Go

After the smoothie success, I made up a juice to take to work. This made at least 2 big cups, so I can have some left at home. The best guess for calories per cup is 300. The app has some good juice recipes and general guesses, but I tried plugging in each ingredient. Because of all the pulp, I would think that 300 is too high.

The mix: 4 leaves of kale, 2 leaves of rainbow chard, parsley, garlic, pear, 2 apples, 4 carrots, 1/2 beet, 1 tomato, and 1 lemon
Threw on some chia seeds in the cup I'm taking.

Greener Days Ahead

The kale looked amazing tonight at my organic shop so I doubled up.
With a way too early start tomorrow, I juiced up tonight in prep. I will be using some add-ins mentioned last time.
The base juice: kale, rainbow chard, garlic, scallions, amazing pink grapefruit, tomato, parsley, and ginger.

Time Matters

Today, I timed myself while making a small juice. From couch to couch, it took me 13 minutes. Cleaning the produce the night before would have saved 6 minutes.
I used kale, chard, dandelion greens, broccoli, carrots, oranges, and frozen pack of acai juice.
It was good but I could taste the orange rind I left on (about 1/4 area of one small orange).

Rainbow Chard

I love color!  There was some beautiful rainbow chard at the market this week.  I added to it: kale, touch of cabbage, ginger, a tiny bit of turmeric, grapes, orange, pear, apple, beet greens, blueberries, parsley, celery, half of a hot pepper, and dandelion greens.  It was fantastic!
