Green Glasses

Last night I juiced everything. I started and just couldn't stop.
A warning about this one: cilantro is powerful, use sparingly.

The juicy mix:  apple, beet, carrots, cauliflower, cilantro, grapefruit, kale, lemon, lime, parsley, pear, yellow pepper, Swiss chard, tomato, and some added chia seeds for this morning's glass.

Juice, starring a new decanter

This morning's juice was fabulously mild with a slight parsnip after taste.  I made enough for at least two juices.  I found a BPA free decanter on clearance so I can store it airtight and it will retain more vitamins longer.

In the mix: kale, swiss chard, carrots, parsnips, lemon, beet, celery, parsley, tomatoes, and yellow bell pepper.

Juice To Go

After the smoothie success, I made up a juice to take to work. This made at least 2 big cups, so I can have some left at home. The best guess for calories per cup is 300. The app has some good juice recipes and general guesses, but I tried plugging in each ingredient. Because of all the pulp, I would think that 300 is too high.

The mix: 4 leaves of kale, 2 leaves of rainbow chard, parsley, garlic, pear, 2 apples, 4 carrots, 1/2 beet, 1 tomato, and 1 lemon
Threw on some chia seeds in the cup I'm taking.

Roots

I got this big idea to put a bunch of roots together today. I used dikon radish, beet, celery root and turnip. I only used parts of each. I won't bother to tell you what else I used because it tasted like starchy soap. I think the turnip was to blame. On the plus side, it has calcium, vitamin C and B6.
